The Audit-based Approach

We won’t take on any Tom, Dick or Harry…

As trustees, Serenity’s overarching duty is to the trust and its beneficiaries. So although we put customer service high on our list of priorities, our account holders are not ‘clients’ in the traditional sense:-

We apply stringent application and acceptance tests to our prospective account holders to check that companies are of a suitable calibre to open one of our accounts and we employ a risk sensitive pro-active ‘audit-style’ approach to our travel trust protection. These procedures are primarily to provide us with the assurances we need when we agree to release money from our accounts, but time and again we hear from our clients that our ongoing auditing of their systems also helps them comply with wider legislation… and at no extra cost!
